We will be open at the Farmstand this weekend. There are bunches of rhubarb for $5 in the large white cooler at the entrance to the Farmstand. We also are doing our final transplants of tomatoes, cucumbers, summer and winter squash this weekend. What is left will be for sale at $4 per plant. Raspberries in one gallon pots are $6. With a warm week ahead of us it’s a fine time to plant.

We will be opening our farm stand to sell vegetable and raspberry starts with rhubarb coming along in 2 weeks. We would like everyone, from the young health-conscious person to someone with a compromised immune system, to feel comfortable coming to the farm stand. To that end we are asking everyone who comes to the farm stand to:
*Wear a mask while you are at the farm stand. If you don’t have one you can pick one up here to use and take home with you.
*Hand sanitizer is available – think of using it when arrive at the stand and after handling cash
*Disinfecting solution and rags will also be available. I will disinfect coolers, refrigerator, cash box, table and containers before we open in the morning and then again mid day. If you want to give the refrigerator door handle or lids of coolers a squirt, go ahead.
*When picking your produce, please choose with your eyes. If you touch a piece of produce, please buy it.
*If someone is at the stand when you arrive, wait til they are finished so there is only one person at the stand at a time.
*If you would like to have a cashless, no contact purchase we can accept credit and debit through our PayPal account at Fields Farm, Debbie Fields using fieldsfarmdeschutes@ gmail.com
For vegetable starts we have a slicing cucumber, yellow zucchini, butternut winter squash and genuine tomatoes.
Our raspberry plants are a vigorous variety called Carolina.
Our greens and rhubarb are a little late this year as we were late in getting irrigation water. Hopefully by the 3rd or 4th week in May we will have some. Happy spring planting, enjoying the sunshine and our new slower pace of life.

We have several bags of Blue Potatoes for sale at the Farmstand $5 for 5lbs. They are very nice but will need to be kept cold to prevent sprouting or eaten! Depending on the weather we hope to have greens available at the Farmstand some time in May. We’ll let you know. Irrigation starts next week which enables us to seriously start planting. Onions and potatoes are going in this week.

Regardless of snow and the Coronavirus we will all need to eat, and really fresh vegetables and berries grown in nourishing soils can help with staying healthy. We will have a small CSA at $550 again this year and an active farm stand. Onions, broccoli, cabbages, tomatoes, peppers have sprouted in the greenhouse. We are grateful for the farm, it’s new life every spring and it will keep us busy during this time of social distancing. If you have any questions email us at fieldsfarmdeschutes@gmail.com or give us a call 541-382-8059.
Breath deeply, stay well,
Debbie and Jim

Hi Folks
With winter around the corner we will be opening up the farmstand doors later usually around 10 in the morning. If you need potatoes or garlic before then you can open the door and look in the big white cooler. When temperatures fall into the teens everything will be in the walkin and you’ll need to come knock on door or give us a call.
We have plenty of the RedChieftain, Purple Majesty and Amarosa Red Fingerling potatoes available. Georgian Crystal and Chesnock Red garlic are on the table also. I have a variety of the garlic herb powders, please call or text if you are interested in purchasing a bottle. 541-382-8059
We can accept the senior and WIC vouchers until Christmas.
