Hi Folks,
We’ll be at the Locavore Thanksgiving Fair tomorrow from 11:00 to 3:00 with sauerkraut, garlic, onion and herb powder blends, wild rice and Old Fashioned Jellies.  If you can’t make to the fair but would like some of these items and can pick them up at the farm, let me know and I’ll save some back for you.  We have a good supply of eggs now at the farm stand and the driveway is plowed but muddy.

Our unseasonably warm fall has graced us with a bounty of fall greens we’ve never had before.  so the frig is full of first cut lettuce mix, arugula, spinach and greens mix along with cabbages, carrots,  broccoli, celeriac,  kales, chard, parsley and we’ll have a good supply of eggs this weekend.  On the table there’s onions, tomatoes, a few peppers and wild rice.  If you’re interested in wild rice and it’s not out come to the house and ask.  Eventually the mice find it and we bring it inside.

Fall is in the air, it’s time for cabbages, winter squash and all matters of soups, stews, curries and roasting vegetables.  The farm stand is full of tomatoes, peppers, leeks, cabbage, potatoes, kales, carrots and more.

Hi Folks,
As some of you know we’ve had an egg famine with our old lady hens only laying 2 eggs a day but now our friend Elena is back from her first year of nursing school and has a new group of young hens laying quite nicely.  So the frig is full of eggs, lots of different greens, summer squash is on and with this hot weather this will be the only week for snow and edible pod peas.  Come on by and enjoy the bounty.

Kohlrabi and Chard have been aded to lettuce mix, greens mix, green garlic and kale available in the grey rfrigerator this week at the farm stand.

What a beautiful Memorial Day weekend.  We have a full refrigerator and a special lettuce mix sale with $.50 off per bag.  All our other greens are available also, as well as we have started to harvest nice big kales.   We have tomato and squash starts for the gardeners, all varieties known to grow well in the Central Oregon climate.  Come on by.

A big thanks to the Locavore WOOLF party.  When I looked at the list of jobs to do on the work board at the end of the day, all of them were done!  Planting potatoes, mulching, pulling up landscape fabric, transplanting raspberries and more…WOW!
