Hi Folks,

We’re having a potato pulling party this Sunday, October 2nd from 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. We’ll be picking up potatoes(after Jim goes through with the potato digger), washing and packing(no bending required), enjoying good company and potato snacks. Let us know if you want to join us at fieldsfarmdeschutes@gmail.com.

At the farm stand we continue to have delicious yellow sweet corn, arugula, beets, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, carrots, celery, kales, lettuce, parsley, peppers and zucchini. On the table are 4 varieties of potatoes, 3 varieties of garlic, red and yellow onions, shallots and tomatoes. The raspberry plants continue to produce and we’re picking them as fast as we can. Come on by and enjoy to the fall abundance.

Other produce available includes beets, broccoli, red, green and savoyed cabbage, carrots, garlic, kales, lettuces, peppers, onions, potatoes, tomatoes and raspberries. New this week are tender, young Green Beans!

Garlic, Garlic, Garlic

post by: Debbie Fields July 17, 2022

Hi Folks,

Garlic harvest is in full swing. We have 2 baskets of fresh garlic for sale at the farm stand. Fresh means it has not cured yet so won’t keep for months the way cured garlic does. But if you’re eager for some Fields Farm garlic we have Kettle River, a juicy softneck and Chesnock Red, a flavorful hardneck.

Arugula, broccoli, cabbage, garlic scapes, kales, lettuces, new potatoes and zucchini are plentiful. Basil, mint and parsley are the herbs this week. Cucumbers are just beginning. Come on by.
